About me
I have lived and worked in Meilen, Zurich, for many years. Modern art and textile design fascinated me from an early age. Today, I create both media from my own studio.
Of the various styles of modern art, I am drawn to the concrete, constructive style due to its simplicity and clarity. The bright colors and geometric shapes continually inspire me. With my quilts, I break with old traditions and reinterpret traditional designs. I mostly work in series, which allows me to delve deeper into a specific theme, creating a number of variations.
Over time, I have acquired valuable knowledge from courses at the Zurich School of Applied Arts (now the School of Design) and from collaboration with renowned artists in Switzerland and abroad. I have also had the privilege of living and working in New York, Mexico, and Singapore for several years. This international perspective and the rich experiences have undoubtedly shaped my personal “signature.”
I’m committed to ensure that textile art holds the place it deserves within the art scene. I occasionally teach courses on textile design enabling me to share some of my own passion with others.
